Later in life she became the mother of four and the wife of a struggling young farmer and God was leading her through it. Once her children were grown she followed her desire to be a better teacher and leader and to improve herself and she went back to school. She earned her bachelors degree and began teaching an adult education program.<\/p>\n<p>In her local church she was given a license to preach and was a deaconess, She has been a church moderator\u00a0 and a teacher for classes such as <em>Decision to Discipleship<\/em> and <em>Evangelism Explosion<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>She was used by God in the work of the General Conference\u00a0 by serving as a representative to other national church bodies and she was a member of several different denominational committees and boards. She also served on General Council.
