Abbie Babcock Van Horn was the President of the Women’s Society from 1929-1930. She was also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Tract Society for 33 years. She was also the interim editor of the Sabbath Recorder from August 1, 1952- March 1953 and also has the distinction of being the first woman to hold this position.

Mrs. Van Horn was an excellent Bible student and teacher. She had a wide knowledge of the denomination including its boards, agencies, churches, and most importantly- it’s people.
