Rev. Elizabeth Fitz Randolph was awarded the Robe of Achievement in 1970. She exemplified a ‘woman of Christian character, revealed through a life of service to others.’ She graduated from Alfred University and then later was granted her bachelor of divinity after attending the School of Theology in Oberlin, OH. She began her service with a series of short term pastorates in churches needing leadership and encouragement. The church in Hartsville, NY first called her into ordination in 1923 as her first full-time pastorate. She was also the interim pastor in Petrolia, NY, Scio, NY, Hebron, PA and Hebron Center, PA. She also served in the West in Boulder, CO and Denver, CO while she tended an ill sister. She also served the Chicago church while attending Chicago Divinity School.

Her first long term pastorate was in Daytona Beach, FL where she was initially there for the winters from 1929-1933 and then with the dedication of the new sanctuary in 1933 she continued on as the full time pastor until 1943. During her time in Daytona Beach she was also frequently called on for help by Palatka, Carraway, Florahome, FL Sabbath keepers.

She was then a missionary for 3 years in Putnam County, FL.

In 1947 she became the promoter of evangelism for the Women’s Board. This position involved both evangelistic and educational work. She served in this capacity in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas and Texas.

In 1954 Rev Fitz Randolph became pastor of the church in Washington D.C. and continued on there for 8 years.
